Do you have kids? Everything is in months for the first several years. Its a habit. Increments in months make huge difference on development stages at a young age. I appreciate the post in the thread, real solid addition.

You might want to curb the TV they are watching or books you are reading to them.

At that age, children have a hard time delineating between reality and fantasy. So whatever they see that you and I would perceive as fantasy maybe reality to them. Take it easy on the intense stuff.

This is sound advice.

26 months is stretching the monthly age if you ask me.

Did hear some celebrity talking about her 31 month old the other day though. So I guess there is no limit.

Set a couple of these around the house and show him how it will snap his little legs like a twig.

He will forget all about the bears and worry about losing a leg.

Not much TV but we read a ton of books. Trying to think where he got the bear from. Maybe brave like someone says...

Thanks

This could just be a night terror which is no big deal but the fact that he sees them while awake is pretty odd. If the bear looks like this you should be VERY worried!

I had this same problem 288 months ago.

Seriously though, stop browsing those sites when he's in the room. I wouldn't want to find out my dad was a "bear" in the "community" either.

I have to agree with THO3 on this one though. It sounds like the the kids have Adderall in their future.

If the bear looks like that, the kid has every reason to be frightened.

Months are preferred up to about 3 years. Google "pediatric milestones", and you'll find this to be true from multiple reputable sources.

Ask him what the bear is doing. Could give you some insight on why he is "seeing" a bear. Oh and like others have said, your child is now 2.
