It's a soul searching task I suppose. In my opinion, different denominations are basically different interpretations of the same book. Obviously when you have religions that add books of the bible and secondary sources, that's a whole different story.

I would visit several churches of different denominations, then make an educated decision on what's best for you.

It can get to be very confusing with seemingly a million different churches you can attend. I'll say this, for me

Does the church
1-teach and adhere to the bible
2-serve the community
3-provide a welcoming environment
4-teach the values I align with.

If you can find that, look at staying there.

How many non denominational churches have you been to?

Mine is normal people. No going crazy in the aisles. Our pastor preaches straight from the Bible. Doesn't guilt us into giving money every 5 minutes during the sermon.

A couple of year ago. Alot of soul searching on my part and decided to go back to the Roman Catholic Church.

You could make a blanket statement over almost every denomination. There are plenty of awesome people who go to non denominational churches.

Grew up Baptist. Many of my beliefs and actions are based on baptist beliefs. I no longer go to a Baptist Church. Instead I go to what used to be an Assemblies of God but now claims no denomination other than to love and live as Jesus.

I know you're just baiting, but Jesus said he is the way, the truth and the light. And that no one goes to the father except through him. That's what I believe.

I grew up baptist

Knowing that the bible was written by man and not personally believing that jesus was any thing more than a prophet(JMO) led me to a different kind of belief in God than most, but one that i am comfortable with.

Not sure i align with any church but i do enjoy the people and overall message

Jesus Christ would want you to be Catholic, it's really that simple.

It's not baiting. It's an uncomfortable truth that has never sat well with me. Most casserole-baking Christian ladies won't discuss it.

But it's there. I don't feel comfortable with that at all,

All Christians must believe that Jews and Muslims are going to Hell. It is the fundamental belief.

Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one enters to the Father except through Me."
That's pretty cut and dry, black & white. He doesn't say these people get in or those people don't. According to that, it does not matter who you are or what race you are. The only thing that matters is if you believe what He said or not.

Some do. But it's not Jew-centric. I was raised to believe that anyone who fails to accept Christ burns in hell.

Some very thoughtful Christians believe there is no hell. Rob Bell suggested that in his book Love Wins, but he was all but lynched.

I can only speak for myself. I accept Jesus, and I hope he can do for you what he's done for me. As for your soul, or your afterlife, that's a matter for you. All I can say is that acknowledging my brokenness and following Christ has brought me immense joy and peace.

To me, one of them has to be the "official" church. To me it comes down to only two possibilities - Catholic or Mormon.

I like the Mormon version of Christianity the best since it offers the most complete view that I have found of who we are, why we are here, and what is possible for us after this life.

I'm comfortable talking about it if it comes up. I'm not gonna sit there and condemn people because that's not my job, but I will happily state what the bible has made clear.

I don't disagree. But, how do you get around the Biblical quotes and all?
