Orthopedic for Neck

Neck pain (permanent crick in neck) for a long time. Whose the best Orthopedic for necks in Baton Rouge area?

have you tried therapeutic massages or physical therapy?

had bulging disks in neck and PT helped in the past. have to go back to doc 1st before i can go again though.

oh ok. i was going to say unless you get an MRI and your neck is seriously fricked, the ortho is going to likely rec PT

just didn't want you to be disappointed

Stay away from an orthopedist when dealing with the cervical spine. Find a neurologist or neurosurgeon bc that's what they do.

My sister (no pics) has a disc problem and the dr recommeneded a traction device in lieu of surgery. She uses it about 10-15 minutes a day, and it's really helped.

I suffered for 14 years, traction massage and chiropractic helped off and on
Finally had C5-C6 fusion in 2001 by Dr Steven Bailey neurosurgeon (moved to Orlando the week after my surgery)

I waited way too long

Exhaust all options before spinal surgery or you may make an attorney a lot of money. I know someone who had a screw erode his esophagus and ended up a quadriplegic as a result of a failed cervical implant.
