sucker.

best deal is to wait & place a big order with monoprice (like $50 or so) to maximize shipping costs.

dont forget to pick up lots of $1 & $2 odds and ends like banana clips, FEMALE-FEMALE HDMI extenders and miniHDMI to HDMI and microHD to HDMI adapters. also stock up on MHL or smartphone HDMI cables..you never know when you'll be glad you have a $3 cable laying around that lets you plug your smartphone into a TV!

you'll thank me later when you have a box of 'goodies' in your garage that can get you out of just about any jam.

I was joking. I like the Belden cables that BJC sells. It's on par with the quality I need and they're just real neat to work with.

Awesome, I am the same way. If I don't have it, I may have something I can use to create it.

i got out of a jam myself recently when i misjudged the length of an HDMI cable to my AVR after i had already ran it through a conduit and mounted to the wall.

i was super pissed until i remember the $2 HDMI-HDMI and connected that to it and connected another 3 foot cable

In all fairness, most people do the same thing out of ignorance.

Another thing to watch out for: ethernet patch cords. They will rip you the frick off on those things as well. Don't ever buy those from a store either.

Just place my Monoprice order:

quote:

10ft 24AWG CL2 High Speed HDMI® Cable With Ethernet w/ Net Jacket - Black 2 $10.67

quote:

20ft 24AWG CL2 Standard HDMI® Cable With Ethernet - Black 2 $17.50 $35.00

There all going inside walls, so I did the "CL2" thing. The Ethernet was lagniappe on 3 of them, necessary on one.

And a net black jacket makes them cool

No, but I should've checked out the chargers.

When I do sound, I'll likely go Wi-Fi wireless Sonos, so no need for the wire.

best thing..the plugs face OUTWARD so the big 'box' plugs don't block 3 other outlets.

i'm amazed that i almost filled this one up! i never dreamed i had almost 12 things needing power in my home theater setup.

i'm old school..i drilled holes in my hardwood & crawled under my house to run the cables to my tower speakers & surround speakers. you will burn through a shitton of speaker wire in a hurry doing this.

the banana plugs were a nice touch when connecting 20 speaker wires to my AVR
