Gaslight VI and those townhomes around the area, housed lots of students in the early 2000’s. Now it’s a war zone, filled with nothing but section 8 hood rat, scum.

It really is. I wish the military would come in to a few places like Tigerland or the south side of Chicago with shock an awe. Get some minds right.

What time is the Enquist, Lipsey and Reilly press conference discussing how they are gonna help fix these problems?

St George gonna use this as rally cry. Kip smoked them last go round.

I just looked at the interactive map of 2018 homicides in East Baton Rouge and compared it to the StG map.

In ALL off 2018, out of 87 homicides, there was ONE in St George.

Here’s an idea. Murphy Paul could do a warrant sweep focusing on Tigerland.

I figure there may be 10 people left after that.

But, were you able to come up with any correlation?

Baton Rouge's local government to allow Section 8 housing next to LSU and places where LSU students hang out
section 8 is a federal program... what input do localities have with this.

Easy. They could have done something about all the unnecessary new apartments being constructed, surely. It created too much supply which meant the only demand available was from Section 8.

Traffic, Drainage, changing code, not approving rezoning. Something could have been done.

That would be fricking awesome

The caveat, is that we know Paul is too much of a pussy to enact an operation like that.

The bad part of Tigerland is barely two blocks, I don't think you need to military to close down a few apartment complexes

Especially if they can’t hit anything because they are holding the pistol sideways.

Going North of I-12 gives you 14.5x greater chance of being murdered.

You think Seal Team 6 would be overkill?

we may have been neighbors

Second to last building on Jim Taylor, turn left into the driveway and I was the 2nd green door on the right side 1st floor

I lived on the second floor, apartment nearest the street. The back entrance to the Louisiana School for the Deaf was at the end of the street. They were doing some big construction project that year and the trucks started rolling in about 530 every morning

I used to walk from Sharlo to Fred's every week. Even after a buddy got his door kicked in and robbed at gunpoint in Cambridge. I don't think I would do that anymore.

I graduated in '00 and had no idea it got so bad back there. I lived in Tiger Plaza my first year and, while the apartment complex was shitty, I don't really remember any crime at all. I moved to Beau Chene the last few years I was there. How is that place holding up. It was probably the nicest complex anywhere close to campus at the time.
