You implied that the teens' whiteness is what allowed them to get out of their rebellious phase.
No, I didn't. White teens generally have more guidance in their life and eventually figure it out and grow out of that phase.

It's not BECAUSE they are white.

One thing black people have to do is change their world view. I feel like many in the black community have a teen rebel attitude that they never grow out of. They like to rebel against white society, even if they are unaware they are doing it, even in small ways.

They still haven't truly assimilated, and until they accept the society in which they live, they'll always have problems.

White teenagers have this same mentality. That's why they are always angry. They are constantly questioning society and "sticking it to the man". But they generally grow out of that rebel phase and conform and become productive members of society.

this is a direct reflection of the trend of single and no parent homes. No respect for authority and actually bitter towards authority. Without that father figure they never grow up and learn how to be adults so they act immature their whole lives.

I think what most of you are upset about is the level of welfare and crime.

There's also the problem of many people abusing the system. There are people who are on welfare but sure as hell don't need be.

Dude. You are talking about a culture that thinks it is perfectly OK to kill someone if you think they disrespected you.

You can't fix that shite.

He wants lazy people to take some responsibility for their existence and subsistence. So do many others.

The fact that many people see things the same way does not make them all wrong.

I think the only way to fix it is by offering boarding school style education to children. Take them out of their shitty home environments, and educate them. Allow the pos parents to continue getting additional government money for them so they won't object.

When this group of kids come out educated and not corrupted by their lost cause parents then you have an entire generation of productive people and have broken the cycle.

Would take a cash commitment up front to do so, but in the long run you would save trillions. The current parents wouldn't care, they're getting the money for the kids and don't have to deal with them. Kids benefit immensensly from being removed from toxic environment and garnering a quality education.

Corporate welfare is far worse than social welfare. Most social welfare recipients are white.

One problem is that they have to actually go to their job, everyday.

Welfare isn't just a minority thing.

By design, the system is set up to trap people into poverty. Instead of incentivizing training or work, the system penalizes.

Welfare assistance of any type needs to be tied to job training or education for a better career. Right now it's too easy for a single parent to have a couple of kids, get EITC, welfare and a host of other types of assistance, work part time for a few coins or not at all and be perfectly content. The problem arises when that person goes to full time or works overtime to better their lives, their assistance is dropped or lowered. So basically they're working more for the same amount of money.

Yes you can. The Japanese felt that way when they were an isolationist country for over 200 years. They turned out okay after western intervention

White people game the welfare system, too. You ever seen "Thexwild and wonderful whites"? That's just the tip of the iceberg. Welfare as a whole needs an overhaul regardless of majority or minirity.

The illegal Hispanics are playing the system as well by claiming single mother of 4 plus kids while living with their husband making good money every paycheck.

I agree that the only way to fix it is to fix broken homes. No amount of GOVT money can fix this.

The problem is that the system is designed to help those with broken homes. It encourages people to have broken homes to benefit from the system.
How many single moms do you know?

How do we create jobs?

Deport those people who fill the jobs.

But then wait... Americans won't fill those low wage jobs!

You are right. Minimum wage will naturally raise. Problem solved.

Australia has a natural $15 minimum wage. They also have strict immigration control.

I work in child healthcare. Everyone is playing the system. The government doesn't even bother checking out stories. The whole system is corrupt.
If you are truly in need I wouldn't mind doubling the benefits.

Yeah, just like in Florida!

They spent something like $40 million to test TANF recipients, 1% "failed" and half of those folks just didn't show up. But it was a good talking point for politicians to fool the middle class. And the recouped $200,000 or so.
