I hope for their sake, the girls were not snapchatting pics with the dog filter.

They were.

Watch a college girl take a single snapchat. It takes them 15 to 20 tries to get the picture at the right angle to hide their freshman 15, then another 10 minutes to get the right filter. In that time period they have 4 or 5 more snaps to reply to. Must be exhausting work.

Told then id live to have then for Christmas, but not to stare at them looking at their phones.

It's just as bad in Asia and then add in the fact that 90% of the population has selfie sticks and uses them every 10 steps. The narcissism and obsession with phones over here is startling.

Actually.. they're more connected to each other and to what's going on in the world than you ever were.

The difference is they have a bunch of "small connections" and lack the ability to form deep long term ones. They pass through acquaintances with a single swipe or unfriend or whatever media they're using at the time.

The world passed you by. The reason they're looking down into their phones is so that it doesn't pass them by.

It didn't though. I study human behavior, evaluate and diagnose on a daily basis. What's going on today is much different than anything we've seen in the past.

I felt lonely today and sat down and ate in some restaurant I like. Everyone was on their phone. That's just our world now

it's the age of technology. It is good and bad

We have dinner together almost every night and no one is allowed to bring their cell phone to dinner. That is about the only time we get with the 3 kids while they are not texting or some other stupid shite.

No problem here. We all do this when alone. Alone being the key here.

I bet there were more wheel chairs and scooters with old fat people than there were kids looking at cell phones.

This would be interesting if it was relevant.
