O.J. Simpson's parole hearing set for July 20; could leave prison Oct. 1

quote:

Simpson is due to appear by videoconference from Lovelock Correctional Center, where he is being held, before a panel of four parole commissioners sitting in Carson City, parole official David Smith said. Simpson's attorney in Las Vegas, Malcolm LaVergne, said Monday he will be with his client at the medium-security prison in a small town 90 miles northeast of Reno. "If he's able to get parole, my prediction is he's going to want to live a quiet life," LaVergne said in a recent interview. LaVergne declined additional comment until after the proceeding.

Lock up your daughters.

He is eligible but it will likely not happen. He doesnt have very many supporters in the Criminal Justice system.

Finally, he can resume his search for the real killer(s). There are several golf courses he hasn't checked yet!

Eh. I don't know. From what former guards at Lovelock have said, he's pretty much a model inmate who keeps to himself and does what he's told. I don't think they can just keep someone in there because they don't like him. I guess we'll see.

I saw him at the airport in San Antonio before the Vegas incident. It is a weird feeling standing that close to a guy you know murdered two people that violently.

Just a random thought but if I was up for parole I'd want to be able to sit down in front of the people and look them in the eye.

You know this isn't close to true. He'll be a reality tv star within a year of getting out.
