Would've stated that earlier but didn't know if any of you guys were familiar with it. I sure as hell wasn't but this is one of the 3/4? sites I've seen saying that. None being major like a CNN though.

CNN is now saying that the last communications from the pilots was "good night Malaysian three-seven-zero" and acting like it's a huge deal.
I don't see how it's so earth shattering unless they are speaking to how it just once again proves how incompetent the Malaysians are, but at this point my opinion of them couldn't be any lower

This. The Malaysian are looking dumber by the day. It makes me wonder how much info they have misinterpreted and kept it from others who could help.

The Malaysians need to just hand everything over to the Australians. Hard to believe that miscommunication led to searching the wrong area, in volatile seas no less, for three days.

I'm still of the belief that they have relatively definitive confirmation of wreckage via satellites (most likely American). To completely bail on the northern arc and dedicate all resources to the Indian Ocean directly after the Malaysians asked for our help in interpreting radar data, satellite coverage and naval support makes me believe we pointed them in the right direction. Maybe I'm overestimating our capabilities and influence, but that's the vibe I get.
