New Orleans Police officials confirmed one of their officers was robbed at gunpoint in the 1300 block of Feliciana in the Ninth Ward. The robbery happened shortly after 9 a.m. Tuesday.

According to the NOPD, the officer was off-duty, not in uniform and not driving a department-owned vehicle at the time of the incident. The NOPD's overnight crime report made no mention the victim was a police officer. It only stated that the victim was approached by an armed subject who demanded money and that the victim complied and the suspect left the scene.

Friend of mine, older guy lives about 7-8 doors down from the Junction Bar right there on St. Claude. The area really is cleaning up although you do still have the Bunny Friend Park a couple blocks away where that mass shooting went down around New Years.


You also have the newest hot hipster restaurant "N7" is right there. Which it probably is not the 'In' place to get grab obscure canned seafood anymore while dodging bullets due to the fact normal folk know where it's located :/
