What is it you are looking for? They all teach the same dumbed down curriculum.

I think Pville was tops in the parish for Primary school score wise.

Might be mistaken.

According to the state web site, OG had a 109.3, Pville had a 105 last year. Both scores are top notch in that system, so I doubt there's a ton of difference.

I've got a 7th grader at Pville Middle, and she's in school with kids from Oak Grove, Pville Primary, and one other school. She never seemed to be "behind" or knew any less than the kids from the other elementary schools.

We're closer to Oak Grove than PVP but fall within the PVP zone. Two kids there at the moment, Kindergarten and 5th grade. They both love it. My daughter went to Spanish Lake and it was also a good school. Ascension Parish in general has a pretty solid school system, With the exception of Donaldsonville and a few other areas.

What neighborhoods are you looking at?

Looking at a couple neighborhoods, but open to any that would fall into these 2 school zones. Any subdivision/neighborhood thoughts and recommendations would also be welcomed.

If you have to travel to BR for work, I would personally stay out of any subdivision that you have to take 42 to get out. Make sure you would have an alternate route to get to airline in case traffic is bad.

My wife is a teacher at Prairieville Primary, so my vote has to be for them (not to brag, but she's a great teacher!). Lol. I have heard mostly good things about that school from her. I have met some of the other teachers there, and they all seem like pretty nice people.

As far as neighborhoods go, I would just look up and down Parker Road in Prairieville. We live in the Jamestowne Court subdivision and we like it. It's only a minute drive to the school. I don't know how many houses are for sale, but there are plenty of neighborhoods around.
