Ron Howard, I met him at a Cajun restaurant in Crowley, LA, we had both stopped there for dinner. He was in the area visiting his wife's family, who were originally from Gueydan LA, and had moved back there after his FIL retired form Bell Helicopter in CA. He was just a regular down to earth type.

I have a good friend who drove tour buses for a few years. He hauled Tommy Lee for a while. Said he was a great guy. Easy to talk to. Didn't have that celebrity attitude. He has a Mick Mars autographed guitar. Said Vince Neil was a pure dick head. He drove Blake Shelton for some time. Said he was pretty cool as well. Took care of everyone on his tour. Took them all on a paid pheasant hunt for 3 days. Zac Brown is cool as well. Eddie Montgomery of Montgomery Gentry is a dick. Josey Scott was too much into the hard stuff for my buddy to handle. He requested to be taken off of that job of hauling him around. Said Josey's wife stabbed Josey on the bus one night. Caught them both shooting up with their baby on the bus. On of his last jobs was hauling the Myth Busters guys around. He said they liked to party as well.

So he's minding his own business, some guy calls him the wrong name, and he walks away to mind his own business again? That. Dick.

The most disappointing unpleasant celebrity (because of expectations) might be the now deceased Andy Griffith.
Many of us grew up watching re-runs of the Andy Griffith show and thinking he was the nicest most even-keeled and awesome father figure in the world... for anyone who randomly ran across him in his later years in North Carolina he was the angriest, most petulant, "get off my lawn you stinking kids" old man you'll ever meet.

Great times and wild ride! Stanley says the same thing about Motley Crew...even the "dick" part about Neal...Tommy and the others all cool!
A friend of mine dated Graeham Edge of Moody Blues and we spent a week with him on Cape Cod and went to a Vegas concert...he snorted so much coke, it was scary...great guy though...loved golfing, generous, etc!

I worked at a very popular club in San Francisco while I was going to film school. Lots of famous people came through. Some notes:
Probably the coolest, laid back person I met was Gene Simmons. Kid Rock was really cool, although he tried to fight the DJ one night
Depeche Mode came through and they were cool and hooked up a bunch of free tickets to their show.
Christian Laettner was really cool and down to earth. Lots of sports guys came through here. My favorite was Jason Giambi as he always tipped me $100.
I also met Kobe Tai and Janine. I walked Janine to her hotel thinking I might have a chance and opened her hotel door to meet Jesse James who was her boyfriend at the time But they were both very cool.
Then there were the assholes like Charles Woodson and Vince Carter. Lars Ulrich is a total a-hole, I had to kick him out.
People are right about Sean Penn. He's a midget with a giant head and is a douchebag.
When I moved to L.A. to work in TV/Film, I got to hang out with a few people. Some really cool ones and some really not so cool ones.
The craziest I met was Brigette Neilson and Flavor Fav when they were together. They were running around the backstage of Big in '04 (VH1) doing all kinds of nasty shite. I also met Anna Nicole Smith that night and that's the show where she was all doped up. She was skinny at that time and was hot She was also very nice.
Green Day drummer was a total dickhead.
Plenty more, but I will finish by saying Luke Perry is one cool guy as we split a 6 pack on the last day of filming a movie and I smoked a joint with someone mentioned on here a few times and he really is down to earth

Yes he is...great guy, struggling with his voice right now, so Singer is hitting the high notes for him. I was with him in So Cal earlier this month...he drives the ladies nuts, but is really goofy, humble, happily married, spends time with his kids, etc! He's overcome sooo much in his life!
It is pretty amazing that he has fronted a well-known band for over 40 years and no one knew he had a a facial birth defect until he became a spokesperson for that charity. He's also had to have a couple of hip surgeries too, correct? Guess all those acrobatics in platforms take their toll.
Been a KISS fan forever and day.

Actually, George Clooney makes his way back to Augusta, Kentucky a couple times a year to visit his folks and family. He is known to play pick up basketball games at the park with local HS kids and walk around the small town to hang with the town folk. Also, it is known he follows UK Basketball religiously.

George Clooney is the exact opposite of this thread. He belongs in the most pretentious category along with with Sean Penn, Julia Roberts, Gwyneth Paltrow...
That reminded me of the South Park "smugness" episode where Clooney's smugness cloud from his Academy Award speech was merging with San Francisco's over South Park.

Aaron Paul is supposedly really cool but he's obviously not the biggest celebrity in the world.
A lady in my wife's office dated him in high school in Idaho.

He said "well come over here and meet another" and we walked the 10 or so steps back to his car and he introduced me to Basinger. She said they were in town visiting her family. Really nice people....at least that night.

I did some work in New Orleans on the Jurassic World movie being filmed there and was around Chris Pratt a good bit. He was awesome. Really outgoing, nice, and extremely funny. He's very similar in real life to his character Andy Dwyer from Parks and Recreation. He definitely liked to goof around a lot.

He came to our tailgate that day for about 2 minutes and then left. He was just as you described, very nonchalant about it and acted like he didn't know his own celebrity. It was fricking weird He must've been very high
Lee Corso walked through our tailgate before the 1997 Florida game and simply said "You guys better get ready!" Apparently we were.

Joey Lauren Adams lives in Oxford, MS and when I was in school there she was very down to earth. Coke head, but down to earth
Wore beat up clothes and drove a 1950's Ford truck. She liked to lay on the grass in the park and smoke some grass and her Marlboro Reds.
Is that " finger cuffs"
