it will probably be expensive. but have you tried to use a regular cab on gameday? Do those even exist? I'm not sure the point you are making honestly.

It's fine for normal use but it's not a serious alternative to the cab company yet.
And DC is a town with GREAT public transportation
There are DC cabs, Lyft, bikeshares, and various other rideshares in the area
The competition is great and it's driving prices down like crazy

Posters have said numerous times on here how they can't wait to use the service on gameday...my point is I can't see that being a desireable trip for a uber driver.

1 trip that could take an hour or 2? how does the driver get back to the stadium after one trip? I really think you haven't been around the campus to see the traffic if you think getting in and around campus is an easy thing to do.

also its not just right after game time either. if surge pricing is still in effect anywhere from 12-2 they'll be making bank throughout the night.

I think uber will be great for BR but I just don't see many drivers making themselves available around campus during peak traffic on gameday....time will tell i could be wrong

people do not have to use Uber. your assumption is that this service is forced upon consumers. when you can show me the guns and army that Uber uses to force people to pay money they don't want to, then you will have a legit example of unethical behavior

i mean Uber is a great real world example of how price gouging hurts people who need scarce supplies
when the value of a good/service raises (due to scarcity from higher demand), we will devote more resources to moving that good/service into the area. the only argument against this is egalitarianism bullshite
