Wait, I'm confused. Are you seriously upset by a lotion advertisement?

Anyone who has a problem with this is just looking to find racism in or be offended by everything. This is really getting pathetic..

SS says he refuses to use aspirin because it has that cotton ball in the bottle. It's a white conspiracy to mentally degrade blacks.

People like Strong Safety have to belong to something. It doesn't matter how ludicrous it is, they have been dumb so long, they grasp onto anything just to belong. All these "causes" show how weak and vulnerable they are to the small things in life. That's why it took them so long to "overcome" or "advance" beyond making clicking noises.

I think it's ridiculous that it got slammed for being "insensitive". That being said, I'd fire the ones behind it because they should have known the obvious response when they created the ad campaign. People are so fricking triggered now its predictable and they should have been able to predict it.

Unless.... They wanted this to be the outcome. Bad publicity is still sometimes better than no publicity.

"Don't wear white after labor day"

Kinda. Having dated a woman of color and having friends that are women of color (some I consider fam), I know first hand of the struggles they go through in terms of beauty. Constantly being implicitly reminded that you aren't "it" or the picture of beauty is tough especially on females. I couldn't imagine having a daughter and constantly having to fight these battles.

Maybe it's unknown to you, but colorism is huge amongst women of color and the fight to be "light." A lot of this stems from this crap, not having skincare designed for their skin/complexation, and colonialism.

It's definitely unknown to me, hell I didn't even know colorism was a word.

But you can't seriously be mad about this right? I mean we're all just having fun pretending shite like this matters, right?
