I understand the difference but what does that have to do with anything? Are you trying to say that because they're a local cinema, they're immune to criticism for price increases or are you trying to say that they haven't increased their prices in the last 10 years?

He swindled the frick out of Arlington; they funded the lion's share and he paid down the debt quickly through all of the attractions that went there, and then they gave him the stadium. I think he actually owns it now.

Jones and Steinbrenner each own all of the concessions inside the stadium, the only two owners that do so.

Non-profit organizations are very lucrative these days. A lot of that money came from state and local tax payer subsidies, as well.

So anybody have any stats on the revenue the Saints bring to the city? I will guarantee you its worth it. And it's not like Nola is going to build a new stadium anytime soon.

You have to pay $44 million to get high end talent like Goodell.

Sounds about right for a non-profit organization...

Ugh.

The individual owners pay taxes, do you want the NFL to be double taxed or something?

says the guy bitching about the NFL and not-for-profit and ticket prices and government subsidies.

How fricking moronic are you? College football drains more money from the tax payers every month than the entirety of the NFL in one season.

At least 32 entities in the NFL pay taxes on their income. Not 1 "non=profit" (501c3) college football program pays $1 of taxes on their $millions of profit every year.

FBS College football is not always a drain. College Football funds all other athletics, which are amateur, and the good ADs -like Iowa- use zero tax dollars to fund any of it.

forgot about that bailout thingy, eh?

back to Goodell: Dude has earned his money. NFL is the most popular pro sports leagues in the US. Not sure if because of him, but happened under his watch.

The NFL is not popular because of Goodell.

They're just enraged because the Saints were punished for something everyone recognized the Saints should have been punished for.
