The NFL is not popular because of Goodell.

Maybe not but the owners (the ones paying his $44mil/yr salary) like him enough. If he's putting the right pieces together and generating profit to the owners then why get rid of him. This whole Ray Rice thing will blow over and no one will be talking about it in October. I mean do you think people in Seattle are talking about "Bounty Gate" and folks in Arizona are still bitching about the Patriots and "spy-gate".

You have to pay $44 million to get high end talent like Goodell.
Free market never fails.

You realize the owners are the ones who decided to give him the contract they did when they hired him? It's not your money so I don't know why people give a shite what he makes?

I'm not bitching about his pay, nor am I a Saints fan residing in Louisiana.

My guess is that his pay was contingent upon some TV deal he brokered. Check out Jim DeLaney and see what that cocksucker makes running the Big Ten.

This dynamic is seen everywhere in the world now; it is called the Managerial Aristocracy.

says the guy bitching about the NFL and not-for-profit and ticket prices and government subsidies.

How fricking moronic are you? College football drains more money from the tax payers every month than the entirety of the NFL in one season.

Mike Slive makes 1 million not 44 million and he's not ruining his league like Roger is his.
