Well it wasn't that long ago in human history where many people were far more likely to die of starvation than overeating.

Your average WW2 enlistment was like 5'7" and 130 lbs..

I don't take any thing personally (not "personal" - your grammar is shitty too). You're just a shitty poster.

One of the treatments, from Boston-based Verve Therapeutics, uses a gene-editing approach called base editing. It involves an IV infusion of a drug that targets the PCSK9 gene, which is instrumental in the production of LDL, often called "bad" cholesterol.

nromally i love this kind of stuff but these are gene therapies and mRNA....ill pass.

ill stick to the 6-8 oz of 100% pomegranate juice not from concentrate and 8,000 iu of nattokinase a day which also lower LDL, stroke risk and reduce calcium build up, are proven both effective and 100% safe with no side effects.

gene therapy and mRNA therapies have shown too much risk so ill pass for about a decade until the prove its safe.

looks more at HDL and Triglycerides mode than LDL.

Anyone who has been keeping up with the newest research knows this is more important than LDL numbers.

Truth. Had a cardio, considered best in this area, not like my LDL at 123 and prescribed me Crestor. I took it because its what he said to do. Made me feel terrible. I quit the statins and moved on to other cardios and the approach is totally different. However they do agree triglycerides need to be below 150. Eat less/right. Move more. Exercise has dropped my triglycerides 80 points

This is false and misleading.

In every age cohort - increasing LDL = increased risk

See above for risk related to LDL. Risk of events are most highly related to LDL levels (not going to get into particle size).

Trigs do matter, but they matter a lot less than LDL. Trigs are also highly variable based on your diet. Not eating crap will significantly reduce trigs. LDL, while it may improve from diet, not nearly as much as Trigs.

It really is an amazing drug. Targets PCSK9 as well, without the statin side effects.
