My dad has one of these, I've yet to use launch control on it but he has a few times. Hell in econ mode it's still faster than anything I've ever driven. Amazing car.

I had to do a lot of research once they announced that for the GT350... Makes me sad that BMW didn't do something like that for the new M3/M4.

The GT built its legacy on a Ford V8.

A lot of companies built legacies on old technology. So what? The GT40 was a carbureted, normally aspired engine. How dare they put fuel injection and turbos on this!

I would want the best engine for that particular application. A light weight V6 is apparently the correct engine for this application. I don't care what number comes after the "V".

But they have an all new light weight, high revving, 5.2l V8 available that would have been perfect for this car.

I don't have a problem with a tt V6, I just prefer V8s...it's a personal preference.

I can appreciate V6 performance, I can't appreciate V6 sound (except Porsche, though they have a flat 6).

I guess I'm just old school. The sound of a V8 is what I like. Also, a V8 tends to make more torque lower in the rev band.

He sounds like the quintessential corvette or 911 owner. Hates the new model because it's not like the old model (even though it's better).

Maybe when they're supercharged.

There's nothing girly about my 420 HP, 6 speed manual Mustang 5.0.

Yeah, not too many girls want that under their left foot.

My daughter and a certain Mandeville dentist being exceptions.

My wife is begging me to teach her how to drive it. Not sure if I'm proud or scared.

I'm talking brands. Nobody associates accura and Nissan with luxury.

Acura was supposed to be Honda's luxury marque - akin to Nissan's Infinity brand and Toyota's Lexus.

Lexus has been Japan's answer to BMW and Mercedes "luxury" with Toyota reliability. It routinely approaches the combined sales of Infiniti AND Acura in the U.S.
