What about 3 a day?

I've switched to Tony Chachere's salt free seasoning as an alternate spice choice. Every little bit helps.

Well, I'm no scientist, but if up to 7 causes no increase in risk of heart disease, 21 a week probably does.

The research is out there. low cholesterol diets are an easy recommendation, but as long as you're reasonably healthy and active, you can eat pretty much anything you want. Within reason.

Your diet has barely any effect at all on your blood cholesterol. Alot of people, including doctors ironically, fail to endorse this. Frankly, you are either fricked by your genetics or not. Smoking, exercise, and genetics play and MUCH bigger role in blood cholestrol levels. I eat 3 scrambled eggs and bacon every single day and I have low cholesterol. I also work my arse off in the gym.

OP why do you need to do this? dietary cholesterol has essentially zero effect on blood cholesterol levels.

If you want to lower your BP and blood cholesterol try eating grilled meats/seafood, fruits and veggies pretty much exclusively and exercise.

Dietary cholesterol

I'm assuming that's what is being discussed since the OP wants to cut it out of his diet

Don't cut cholesterol out of your diet, cut sugars and limit bread.

Don't listen to the OT. Either ask the doctor who gave you this advice or seek the information you desire from trusted resources.

I work out quite a bit. Weights, maybe 10-12 miles jogging a week. Have high blood pressure. High cholesterol. My fat arse brother has neither. So, yeah, I drew the short straw in the family.

Don't assume any random doctor knows more than the well read person on nutrition. Most will just repeat ADA guidelines and the same ol stuff they never even researched.

Go vegan. Or Vegan before 6pm. There's a book about it if you want to read up.

I like a blend of Mrs Dash's Garlic&Herb seasoning, Garlic Powder, Black Pepper.

I'll add that to anything to 'spice it up' without adding sodium. Works particularly well on salt-free canned veggies.

I'm not saying I follow doctors/ADA myself. However it's better than listening to an anyonmous poster on an LSU sports forum.

first thing is to drink lots of water to both hydrate yourself (most people are dehydrated) and to flush salts and toxins.
