Anyone have a good resource for how to make this happen day to day without preparing your own lunch?

i have this book, its helpful. Sodium is not easy to cut. I am struggling to do so. I can eat healthy pretty easily but when you start looking at things like breads, sandwiches etc. its hard.

I'm on the road pretty much 4-5 days per week and fast food is convenient. I just try to eat salads even from mcd's or wendys. about once a month i'll eat a burger from one of those joints. to be honest the sodium from the salads might be a little high, I hope this helps.

It's important you keep healthy foods around you thri-out the day. Always eat something 30 mins before you go to lunch.

Cocoa covered almond from Sams Club are one good snack low in Na.
Obviously, fruit.

Recent studies question low salt.

Cholesterol is a reaction to inflammation. Baby aspirin decreases inflammation. But don't tell Big Pharma.

Do you have high blood pressure? Drink a gallon of water a day, eat salads as much as you can, and avoid fast food.

Who do you think makes baby aspirin? And do you seriously think baby aspirin alone is a suitable treatment for high cholesterol?

Cholesterol isn't too hard, just don't eat eggs or fried foods.

Sodium is a bitch. It's freaking everywhere. If you have to eat out, you'll have to find somewhere that sells salads or something.

How low are you trying to go on sodium? If you have to eat out occasionally, you should be able to keep it under 2500 mg/day if you are eating at home otherwise.

probably need to define "salad"

some people, namely fat women, like to throw thanksgiving dinner on some lettuce and call it a salad and think they are eating healthy.

Dietary cholesterol has little to no effect on blood cholesterol.

An average person can consume up to 7 eggs a week without having increased risk for heart disease.

Nearly impossible if you're eating out. Not counting salads which doesn't really constitute as a meal IMO

Cholesterol in your diet doesn't have all that much effect on blood cholesterol FWIW.
