Need rec's for comfortable men's casual shoes

I'm talking something that a decent amount of walking can be done in.

I bought some Nautilus shoes last year for work. They make shoes for people that stand for a living and walk all day like security guards, nurses, salespeople, etc. They were feather light and very comfortable. Had to find them on the internet though. Just depends on what you have in mind for looks - they seemed to have a wide array of choice though.

I have some Cole Haan drivers that are really comfortable.

dress shoes? Ecco's, pricey but awesome and stand up to everyday use.

I agree, Olukai’s are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I have two pairs and about to get a pair of their boots.

I hate that Ecco's have the damn name etched in large letters on every shoe.

Yep.
For dress shoes, I learned a while back not to spend $80 to $90 on a "cheap" pair that won't last me through a year. Better to spend more money and have them for life (and can be reconditioned).

Johnston Murphy or oklua (sp)

Eccos are awesome, but they happen to be pretty ugly. Same for Olukais, and I'm an Olukai homer.
It just depends on what you need. Is this for a temporary thing, or is it a job or something? On a recent, rain-soaked trip to several European cities, I pretty much lived in these by AE (not me in photo)
I needed something that could stand up to considerable walking (6-8 miles a day, I think) but that I could go into decent restaurants with. They held up really well.
Of course, if you just need something to stroll around DC monuments in the summer with your family or something like that, I'd probably just get some Nike Flyknits or pureboosts or something

GOAT.
Have 2 pair, about to order a 3rd. They do run about a 1/2 size big.

I'm wearing a pair right now. The name ecco is only placed on the bottom of the sole and on the tongue. The laces are covering the name on the tongue and the one on the sole is on the bottom of the shoe.
