If you take those 26 off outside the U.S. You can still get your tax break. Costa Rica for example

Not so much anymore, It is getting hit by Daesh, the Turks, and likely the Russians soon. Folks are bailing out of there with a quickness right now.

But seriously. No way in hell. I had someone mention not too long ago that I might have an opportunity to work on a project based in Israel. I dont think I would touch that even. If i was laid off from my GoM job, I might think about west Africa as its good to have international experience and that's typically available. But it would be a tough decision.
