Well TBH it is the only way. You can watch a rocket launch, but you have absolutely no way to watch it land on the moon other than on your screen. What's there to prove physically? You have to be on the spacecraft.

They wanted to call it Moon McKinley, but it has since been changed Denali.

This may help.... And the fact that the Hubble telescope has taken images of the equipment left behind on the moon should help too.

The Moon has multiple names - Selene and Luna - but "The Moon" persists in common usage.

For that matter our sun - the star called "Sol" - is widely referred to as "The Sun" - in popular usage.

I think "Luna" is what some astrophysicists refer to it as to distinguish it from the moons of other planets.

Add to the fact that the Govt was far shadier back then and able to get away with shite and had MOTIVE to lie to the world about something like that, I'm curious. Honest.

Do you really think that the Russians wouldn't have found out about this by now? All they have to do is look in a damn telescope to see the landing sites. We could get back there in less than 6 months if we so choose. It would be more difficult to fake the moon landings than to go to the Moon itself.
