Me too. I grew up assuming the Moonshot was real. But the issues Nasa has getting a remote control car to Mars has me wondering how they put people there and got them home.
Add to the fact that the Govt was far shadier back then and able to get away with shite and had MOTIVE to lie to the world about something like that, I'm curious. Honest.

People can't keep secrets. No one would have been able to keep that secret. We have tons of counter spies telling the Russians our every move. It would have be blown.
