Here is a picture of the exhaust vent of one of the test stands. It directs the flow down into a wide, but narrow trench during testing.

Pretty sure I could boil 350 sacks of crawfish under there assuming I have a pot that's big enough

Yeah, matter-of-fact, can I borrow your spaceship for my sons party in two weeks?

I worked out there one summer. IT work while in school. 1998'ish. Love Stennis. I would do my quota and go all over sight seeing. The stands are pretty cool. My dad has some really cool 1981 home video when he was working out there and when we would go out there as kids

Fellow NASA engineer here, hope y'all have a good burn today.

Also, something something ITAR, something something proprietary test configurations. China thanks you!

Don't care, s-ivb still da goat Super cool shite... my grandpa was kind of an OG. I view the push to mars as our era's semi equivalent to the moon race.

From the viewing stands.

The white tanks on the right are filled with liquid hydrogen. There isn't enough storage in the tank on the stand so they pump the hydrogen over as needed during the test.

10-15 until test-off.
