Somewhat similar deal happened to me last week. My wife and I had some errands to run, one of which was at babies-r-us. As I get the buggy, I notice a credit card wedged in the seat part. The employees of this particular establishment are a little shady, so I decided to find the person on my wife's Facebook. When I found her, I sent her a msg to let her know I found the card and that I was leaving it with the asst mngr. I called the store yesterday to see if she had come and got it bc I hadn't seen a response on fb and she had. Not so much as a GTH.......society. Next time im going to Plank and leaving it in a gas station parking lot.

I would have just given it to the front desk of the hotel. I would have been somewhat nervous about getting caught with it and being accused of stealing it. I found a purse with a fair amount of cash in it (I didn't count it) in a shopping cart in the parking lot of a Wal Mart a while back. I just turned it into customer service cause I didn't want to get caught driving around with someone's purse or have the responsibility of returning it.

I just went. We paid $50 for a week pass. It included the histroic triangle, bush gardens, and the water park. That area was awesome, and would go again.

ETA:

This was in Virgina, not Tampa.

I wouldn't have taken the money but I wouldn't have gone out of my way to return it either

just dropping it at front desk would have been fine

We've gotten to the point where appreciation is a thing of the past. Unfortunate but true.

At the LSU/Wisky game, this jacknut sitting behind me was drunk as piss and was yacking all over the seats. The security people booted him and his friend out. Well, he left his wallet with 200 bucks in the cup holder so I picked it up and USPS'ed it to him.

100% guarantee if that happened to me, I'd have to get a new wallet

What was her reaction? Just was like, "Thanks. Bye"

I would be pretty ecstatic not even just for the money but to have everything in my wallet back...although she probably cancelled it all...but still...the fact you went to give it to her she should have shown much more thanks by the way you tell the story.

Would've kicked her in the mouth and taken $210. Please and thank you, count.

lets just plug in the address and go from there

I did that with a tackle box I found in a Lowe's parking lot. His address was on the fishing license.

The fella cooked me a steak, cracked open a bottle of Pappy and gave me tickets to a Saints game.

OK, only the first paragraph is true.

What's wrong with Busch Gardens now?

Seriously, I spent most of my life in Central Florida, and always preferred Busch gardens over Disney or Universal. Of course, I'm a roller coaster freak, and they had her best rides.

Of course, I also refuse to go to any theme park during peak season. It's worth puking kids out of school for a couple of days in October, rather than his it in July. Everything is more enjoyable in October.

Well, it was a 22 year old female with 6 names (wont put all on here but two of the names were Figueroa and Rodriquez). I searched and the internet wasn't helping a whole lot without paying some money. That wasn't happening, bad enough she was a supposed Gator Fan.

OK. Fair enough.

BTW, props to you on doing the right thing. Too many today wouldn't have.

For the record, she could have just gone back to the store without seeing your message. Facebook has that think where you don't see messages from random people in your regular inbox. I remember when people started finding that out, and some girl posted about how she had missed the message telling her about her lost dog two years ago.
