My family and I went to Tampa for a mini-vacation and stayed near Busch Gardens which has gotten a lot worse than I remember years back. During our 2 day stay, my wife finds a women's wallet with over 400 cash. My son being the greedy one wants to keep it or split it but we all know that wouldn't be right. My wife finds her license but no contact numbers. We want to return it but really didn't trust giving it to the housekeeping or the front desk. My wife was having no part of this money so she says "Hey, her house is on the way to our house (Gainesville), lets just plug in the address and go from there. Long story short, we took the lady her the money, she took the wallet and pretty much closed the door which really didn't seem to be that big of a deal. By the way, don't believe the pictures you see for the older hotels in Tampa.

Your family did the right thing and probably taught your son a valuable lesson he'll remember later in life. Nice job!

Good life lesson for the kid. Well done.

Not that this was the point of your story, but I don't understand why anyone in their right mind would voluntarily go to Busch Gardens. TGBFTL had to go there during their trip to Tampa for the bowl game last year. I was traveling with the band so I went, and within an hour I was looking for an escape route.

I returned a lost iPhone to an old lady and she virtually slammed the door in my face and seemed pissed that I had it in the first place.

I've played one of the courses there associated with the hotel. It was in good shape. Can't remember the name.

Was Busch Gardens worth going? Ticket price was $100 per person so I passed.

One guy said the moral is don't look a gift horse in the mouth.

It could also be said that the moral is no good deed goes unpunished.

Personally, I think the moral is finders keepers losers wrappers.

J/K.

I hate reading stories like yours. That story was suppose end with something like "when she saw what we had, and that the last of the money from her recent kidney sale would in fact be available to make the required prepayment on her twin's cancer surgery just hours before the doctor had predicted full metasticization to their half limbs that resulted from the meteor crashing into their little 11 month premature, aids ridden bodies.......", but unfortunately it didn't.

Kinda like reading a penthouse forum that says "as she unzipped her skirt and it slid off of her shapely legs and arse, she turned around, and that's when I noticed her hugely erect penis."

Hopefully, though, your kids learned exactly what you do, AND don't do in that situation.

She didn't even thank you? That's really shitty - you deserve a good thing to happen to you, mate.
