A high school football coach in Stratford has issued an apology for making his players crawl across the field on their bare hands. Many parents complained students had blisters and burns from the the exercise. The coach did not realize the artificial turf could get hot enough to cause harm. Do you think that high school coaches take their sports too seriously?

Looks like GRASS to me! FAAAAAKE!

We crawled too, but it was on grass, not field turf. That shite gets hot. Coach should have been more careful.

I don't have a comment on the coach aspect and I don't know how hot it was but artificial turf in the summer down here can be incredibly hot. I can't put my hand down for more than a few seconds and usually have to dump water on my cleats to cool my feet. I know someone that worked a soccer camp a few summers ago and the rubber studs started to melt on the turf after being out there all day.

In all seriousness, crawling on turf right now is probably a terrible idea. That shite gets way too fricking hot. From a coaching perspective, why frick with your teams hands? They need those to play.

Would be fine on grass IMO

You need to post precisely 100% less than you presently do.

The fact that this is conditioning for football...

Its not like this is punishment by a religion teacher for talking in class.

That turf can be 120+ degrees. Run them until they puke, but crawling on that surface is idiotic.

They should have crawled faster. Hopefully the kids learned a lesson.
