This pretty much sums it up. I was at Mission BBQ in MD today, and I didn't know this beforehand, but the entire place stands and pays respect to the national anthem at noon every day. Both staff and customers. I thought it was pretty cool, even if it temporarily kept me from chowing down on a pretty decent brisket sandwich.
I'll probably get some hate for this but I really don't care. I put on a uniform to secure freedom for Americans. I may not agree with how you express yourself, but I would fight and die for your right to do so.

Pearl Harbor was the worst because there were always other countries naval vessels in port. Saluting for 5 minutes because the Japanese and South Korean national anthems are being played as well sucked donkey dick.
The submarine piers were usually empty during colors. Everyone form E-1 to O-6 dodged it.
