Mucous Cyst on lip

anyone ever had one of these? its from trauma to your lip, usually by biting it.
it feels like a BB is stuck in my lower lip and ive had some issues biting my lip and thus it formed.
it says online its nothing serious but you might have to go see a doctor to have them laser it or cut it out.
its been two months and its still there. curious if anyones ever had one of these and what they did?

Painful or no?
Ive had painless ones that i just kept popping til they went away.
The painful ones require warm salt water

Yep. Redneck surgery is your best bet. This is my professional opinion

I have a friend that had one; actually several. Thry aren't dangerous but often must be surgically removed. My friend had his removed but it kept coming back so it took 3-4 times to finally remove it permanently.

Hmmm. I passed out and bit/banged the frick out of my bottom lip awhile back and it had this hard spot inside my bottom lip for the longest, but it's mostly gone away. I don't have anything protruding outside my lip thou. It's on the inside.
And it does feel like a BB like you said.

Not sure how they do the lip, but for small cysts around the face they'll often just make a little circle incision just as big as the cyst and remove it. It only takes like one or two stitches to close. No big deal at all.

Yeah I've heard it will most likely come back
It doesn't hurt and it only flares up and is noticeable after I eat. It's weird. I'm just wondering if I can do anything at home without paying hundreds at doctor

I used to get them a lot. Fun to pop by squeezing or with your teeth.

had a recurring one from a car wreck. go see an oral surgeon or ent. they have to remove it in tact. can't eat normal for 3 days. not too painful. just more annoying than anything.
ETA: i would lance it myself but they kept coming back. not immediately but anywhere from 6 months to 2 years later.
mine was a mucocele. it was below the skin, not on top like the pic you posted.

les, you may have had an oral fibroma. just a little bit different.
op, these are easily removed under local by an ent. if you just unroof it (bite it off yourself) chances are you've left some of the cyst wall behind and it could return.
