You are wrong. While video games have not necessarily been linked to violent crime, excessive game play has been conclusively linked to aggressive behavior.

I think the heroin might have something to do with this story as well.

You have zero evidence to back this up. And tell me this: do you think seeing and participating in fake violence desensitizes kids more than seeing and participating in real violence when we send them off to war?

If guns do not kill people (and I am on the side that they are inanimate objects and do not) then video games do not kill people (and I agree that they do not).

It seems hypocritical to make both of those claims and I think a fair amount of conservatives do.

I grew up playing FPSs. Crazy people are crazy. Guns and video games didn't make them that way.

video games are not making kids kill people. Video games and movies are not convincing people to kill. The reason things are getting more common today imo (yes my opinion) is there are more and more kids without any structure or home life. Lack of father figures in their lives, lack of structure and any sense of morals and lack of empathy for others

What ever happened to the LSU student that went home for spring break or something g a few years back and never came back to school. They found her parents a few days later and everything linked her to killing them for drug money.

That is one. I though I remembered a female (maybe attempted murder). I may just be mixing a couple stories up.

Spot on. Destruction of the nuclear family is the biggest problem. Humans need a support system, especially when they are developing.

These VR shooter games being played non stop by kids whose brains are still developing is a much bigger issue than the 2nd Amendment.

What VR shooter games are you referring too? VR has only been widely available to the public for a couple years and its damn expensive. Most kids cant afford VR tech.
If you are referring to shooters like Call of Duty they are just digital shooting galleries. The games that involve more strategy like Rainbow Six Siege the strategy outweighs the skill of shooting and its much more about understanding the maps and the abilities of your character and assembling a balanced team vs the enemy. I have a feeling you have no idea what I'm talking about and that is part of the problem. You should learn about the what it is you are criticizing before spouting off an opinion.

Now video game addiction is a real thing and parents should limit their screen time . Also some content should be limited to older teens or adults but to say that shooting digital soldiers leads an otherwise healthy child to mass murder is total bs.
