Oh yeah, because Washington state is such a horrible place....

Those poor unlucky bastards that have to actually live near that! They must be depressed every single day of their lives.

I'm not even saying Mass. is a clear #1, but the question of "who would want to live there?" is laughable.

Raging liberalism aside, Washington st is a beautiful place, especially if you like the outdoors.

Wtf?

Just speaking on politics...

Mass has a Republican Governor.
New Hampshire has a Republican-controlled legislature and is known as more of a libertarian area..."Live Free or Die"
North Dakota doesn't need an explanation
Minnesota has a Republican-controlled legislature
Washington is evenly split at a legislature-level

We all need to realize that while the South is home to most of us and will always have that homey-appeal, it is very much behind the rest of the country in basically all standards of living.

You do realize there are parts of Washington state that don't rain a lot? There are even desert areas there.

This is true, although in fairness a staunch republican in MA is closer to being a moderate by LA standards.

New Hampshire has more of a southeastern vibe than most here will want to realize. It's like a slice of Alabama was picked up and moved next to Canada.

What happens when you dump Shreveport-Bossier and Monroe?

True, maybe the moderate conservative politics practiced in these more divided states is the best course?

If MS gets rid of the Delta they jump about 15 spots. Have to deal with it, but we're both drug down by those two areas.

didn't know that...just know 2 different people who worked there for a few months that describe it as pretty depressing and a shithole.

That's like calling Montana or Colorado a "shithole".

ETA: And the rainy season for Washington is really in the winter. The spring and summers are pretty damn great.

Their best to worst looks like this:

Whites

Texas at 38 is odd. Dallas and Austin alone should push it into the top 20. I wonder if the O&G crash caused Houston to pull down the rankings
