Oh, ok, then St. Gabriel wouldn't be that big of a deal over a 20k difference in price. I would personally look at the Jefferson area, but you could do worse.

Yeah we mostly cook, dont go out, and work a lot lol. Figured for the price of what the homes are going for in the Spanish Lakes division it's cheaper to buy for three years.

BR ain't bad. A lot of people here who are salty have bastard children and mistake wives. It's fun.

St. Gabriel.

Not a bad area. Commute would be good. Make sure your neighbors aren't close.

Contrary to what this board bitches about, crime and cost of living in that area kicks arse.

I don't think you can get a house and lot in St. Gabriel for what you're looking to pay. Maybe on river road near Plaquemine Point.

Jefferson Terrace is the greatest neighborhood in Baton Rouge. Convenient to Airline, Bluebonnet, and Jefferson with access to I10 and I12. Plus it will be in St George once our mayor continues to destroy the rest of the city.

It's going to be tough finding a home in Springlake under 220k. From what I am hearing houses in Springlake are selling quick. I will be selling mine soon so I hope it's true. Not many homes listed under 225k

I don't know if houses flooded but the roads did. Lots of folks parked at 30 and hiked in. If it's the subdivision I am thinking of.
