Know a guy who was working in a sugar mill, the grinder was shut down and he was working in the grinding gears removing a jam caused by the sugar cane. Someone turned the machine on. Very slow crushing.

Damn, boosie

I have a bit of an idea how you feel

My dad had a motorcycle accident that took him off a bridge and onto a dry creek bed

I have to hope that he was instantly paralyzed and did not suffer too badly. I do know that he was conscious though. Miss him every day.

That must have been a very difficult time for you and your family. I'm sorry you had to go through that boosie. Now any posts you've made about your mom makes more sense.(nothing bad...I've just noticed you are very close to her and seem very protective of her).

I've had friends and relatives both pass away and every single time it's been disturbing.

Probably the wreck that killed my parents and uncle. They went over the side of a mountain in north Alabama when they had a blowout. This was the early 70s and there was no guardrail (This was the mountain on Hwy 231 going south into Ashville from Blount County for anyone familiar with St. Clair County and that area). While the car was tumbling down the mountain my father was halfway thrown from the car, his upper half was hanging out. The car landed on him and basically first crushed and then ripped him in half at the waist. My uncle who was driving had his head driven down into his chest when the front part of roof of the car caved in. But to me the most disturbing death was that of my mother. She was in the back seat and did not die immediately. Instead she was trapped inside the car bleeding from internal injuries. The wreck happened about 1 AM and they believe she did not die for several hours as she was still warm when the wreck was discovered the next morning. That means she had to sit there for hours scared and suffering with her dead brother and husband right there in front of her. I hope she was unconscious but I have no idea if that was the case.

Well with that, Darth, I'm out. My sympathies to you and boosie. What a depressing fricking thread.

Nah, there were a few years of debauchery to numb the pain. But I eventually pulled it together and like to think I turned out alright.

Three year old drowned in a pond. They found his friend who was neck deep looking for hiM just in time.

Old childhood friend, about 35, sitting on his porch with his wife, having a glass of wine. In mid sentence he looks up and drops dead. Brain anuerism.

Guy ibgroup up near, post Katrina, was on his farm on a tractor. Flipped it in a ditch, it landed on top of him. they found him a week later. It took him days to die.

Didn't know them, but one of the worst calls of my EMS career is crotch rocket vs. SUV. Guy was decapitated and torn in half length wise. Organs scattered about 50 yards down the highway.

This happened two weeks after my 1st birthday. I literally have no memory of them at all.
