Most dangerous event for me was dating a girl from the Isle of Man.

Going watch the TT and being a participant in Mad Sunday is in the top 5 of my bucket list items I plan to complete.

I also want to hit up the North West 200.

Steve McQueen used to race there. Coolest bike street race ever.

My old man went a few years back. He had a hell of a time and brought back some amazing video. People standing feet from the track and crossing the road between trials.

Nobody died the year he went which is great considering the danger of that race.

Hell no I wouldn't try it.

Mad Sunday after the TT

Basically the road remains a one way race course and is turned over to anyone who wants to ride it, fricking craziness and I plan to take part one day.

He actually survived and is racing again. I believe he's completely fine. How crazy is that?!

What is really nuts is that they often run even in the rain,

Just watched an hour long video of a speech by a dude(remarkable guy, he recently died in a motorcycle race accident) who is a doctor/first responder to these crashes. From what I could tell, he was THE guy out there and was a very accomplished doctor.

Anyways, he was going over what they look for and just how insane his job was. Most interesting video I've watched in a long time. One of the things they look for is boots in the road when they pull up. Btw, they ride these bikes just like the racers. It's the fastest way to get to the crashes. But he said people instinctively put their foot down when they start to crash or get scared. The ONLY way for their boots to come off is if there leg is facing backwards. If they come up on a boot, they know the rider has had his leg completely twisted around and destroyed. Lots of their feet have been "degloved" as well

I'll go look for his name so y'all can watch the video. It's amazing, and the guy is absolutely hilarious.

ETA: Guy's name was John Hinds. YouTube RIP Doctor John Hinds.

do they have special cut outs on their seats so their balls can fit. If not I dont know how they fit on the bike

They probably use the foam removed from the seats to fill the space in the helmet where a brain should be.
