just a cpl times. didn't chase it, held breath and ran from one side of street to the other 55yrs ago....

I was training for high school cross country but worked delivering appliances all day. When I ran, usually about dusk, I would keep pace with the truck, but I stayed in front of it and out of the fumes because I wasn't a moron.
Shoulda kept pace with something faster though, didn't make state.

Eta: This was only during summer training that I did on my own, during the season we trained with a coach who smoked unfiltered Camels.

I never did anything like that, following behind the truck seems like it could get you sick.
The only thing close I got, is my uncle has a nice house in Mississippi. He had this mister system, it was a hot summer day, the mister comes on and I stand in it. I find out, it's not the spray mister it's the bug spray.

I had never heard of installed automatic bug spray before. They get gnats really bad out there.
