Do you work out before or after work? Also, what's your family status and age? Why do you work out at that time?

I currently work out in the evenings as im not living with the fiancee. It's convenient and what I've always done. Im thinking I'll need to shift to morning routines in order to get myself used to it before having kids. I'm mid 20's.

What works for you?

I just got back home from the gym. I used to go in the afternoon, but a buddy started going with me about 1.5 years ago and he had a young son so he wanted to go after the boy went to bed--about 830/9. That was too late, so we decided to switch to the mornings and it works out well.

It takes some getting used to, but once you've set your routine it's a pretty rewarding way to start your day.

Same, but i think I'm going to need to change that in order to spend more time with my future offspring after work.

Coming home at 8pm from my workout everyday probably won't cut it then.

Agree. I tried this in college with a buddy once for a semester. Kept each other honest by taking turns driving. You dont want to be the reason your friend is late, right?

Felt good to actually be awake in class. What didn't feel good was crashing at 2pm

After work for me too. I hate mornings and don't wake up any earlier than I have to. I usually go from 4-5 or 530ish which is fine since my wife doesn't usually even leave work until 5.

I'm 30 with a kid on the way. I don't really see having a baby impacting this schedule a whole lot

Morning for me. Wake up at 5:30, engaged, full time job, no children or any plans to.

I am a morning person so it works out well for me. I may switch to evenings when our office is moved to our new building as the gym there is much nicer then the one in our current building, and it's free.

In the rare event I can get my arse outta bed in time, I love a morning workout. It just doesn't happen that often.

Mornings always make for a relaxing rest of the day, but I have about a 30% success rate waking up at 4 am.

I have a flexible work schedule and work out at the gym two days a week in the morning before lunch.

When I make time for it, I do loaded carries or some kettle bell swings at the house.

I have a wife and two kids. The past few months have been interesting as my youngest was born last month.

I get up at 3:45 am every morning to go to the gym. It sucked at first, but now I enjoy it. Evenings wouldn't work for me. I always have something to take care of.

I enjoy morning workouts but sometimes it's just tough getting up there.

Geeze, I wish I was like all you guys just waking up and still have time for morning workout. I'm at work for 7 (doc appointmemt today) and it's a 10 hour drive if I haven't left by 6. So if I'm not up by 4:15, I don't take a chance and just move it to lunch or after work. I'm up at 5 even on days I don't plan to work out.

Sadly, still a fairly accurate statement.
