Some moms that have babies in the NICU may not be able to pump(maybe they are on meds or whatever) and the NICU docs want the babies to get every benefit possible from breast milk.

We were getting some from a lady in Minnesota to help out with my lady's production because she wasn't producing enough. She was a friend of a friend and only ate organic things and donated her milk. It's was nice to have instead of formula. My daughter didn't care where it came from so I didn't.
