I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess your house costs more than 4% of your total earnings to date. I suspect he should be okay.

To be fair, athletes have blown through more than that in a shorter time...

He could own 12 houses and 4 restaurants too...we don't know.

That house looks like it is undervalued at $3.1 million for the area and amenities

And the kitchen is terrible. That place would never feel like home. I pass.

I don't know what his savings account looks like but I do know he wouldn't lease his ranch in the Eagle Ford because he said he didn't need the money and didn't want people out there

I realize that $3.1MM is chump change here on the OT, but that's a sweet deal for that house. Beautiful

He is from CA, went to Cal, played majority of the last half of his MLB career with the Giants and Dodgers, why would he live in Austin Tx?

I agree. 3.1 is a lot, but I've seen far inferior houses in FAR inferior locations go for not much less.

I spent a lot of time in that house. I did all the programming for the automation systems. All of the landscape lighting, pool system, hvac, curtains, A/V system. It's all controlled through a touch screen remote that looks like a tablet. I was there for about 3 weeks getting it all programmed and tested.
In all that time, I never once met Jeff Kent.

Then you factor in the highest possible tax bracket, poor investments, and I'm sure a lot of spending. He may not have as much as you think--especially if he is selling that home for 3.1.

Heck there's a house in the CCL listed for $5m that doesn't even have a water slide.

Chicken, I see you and your stellar admin team being more of the 'david koresh Texas compound' types... Am I far off?.... With Hillary style bathroom closet servers.

Am I just clueless on stuff like this, or does $3.1M seem kinda low for that?
