So it's pretty much over now. No way those boys are still alive. Hopefully they recover the bodies well what will be left. Sad situation

I would guess it's long odds any bodies are ever found. Maybe a life jacket or the ice chest turns up down the road. Sad outcome. With the Gulf Stream and no good position for uscg to start from the south Atlantic is just too big of a search area.

Unfortunately, this is probably true. Breaks my heart.
Go hug your kids, folks, and thank God they are safe. Please say a prayer that these families can somehow find a sliver of peace as they grieve their lost sons. Pray that they have a source of strength that can see them through the guilt and the pain and help them find some small comfort that can eventually make life bearable again.

They probably will. But as I mentioned earlier in this thread, all parents have let their kids do something that could have very well ended in tragedy. It might have been walking to school, or riding a bike on a steep hill. Although minor compared to a fishing trip; one turn of events could turn a normal skateboard park visit into a chorus of how could those parents allow that. What's that saying about "there, but for the grace of God go I"?
