just putting a bunch of shite from Ikea in your house doesn't make it MCM

thats small's house. he's an architect (go figure)

been in there. odd fellow..the black inverted cone is a library with bookshelves around it and a chair in the very middle.

belle meade residents HATED this house and did everything in their power to keep it from being built.

There is another really cool home in East Nashville (on Russell by East Park). I believe an architect owns it as well. I couldn't dig up a picture though.

classic ranch; we've had ironworks come out and redo the bannisters, put MCM doors in, etc.

the last piece will be to redo the siding but that's $$$ so it will take some time.

no its not a box/california style but that doesn't make it any less mcm

I think it really depends on the setting. I wouldn't want a MCM home if I lived in New Orleans, but if I lived in California I would probably choose that style.

She's got a passion. I wouldn't want to live in it, but whatever floats your boat.

How do you feel about this farmhouse style home? It's close by our church off Battery Lane I believe. Something about it doesn't work for me.

I agree. Hands down, my favorite architectural style is Pueblo Revival. It really wouldn't "fit in" with the Nashville architecture.

thats what i love about nashville; enough homes in the MCM style that it fits right in.

my old house was a new build and i would never have considered going mcm with it, but the new one we bought can be converted without too much trouble.
