well at least it was worth it. Seriously those steaks are gonna be delicious.

I'd go all out weak wounded male and call a family member or close female acquaintance. You need to have some proper pain meds for a wound that severe and it doesn't sound like you're the best advocate for your own medical care.

make sure you tell your nurse sister that you asked some strangers on the Internet and they agreed with her female opinion even though it was likely clouded by her menses.

You know you don't need to use a chain saw to trim a steak right? Damn I'd be drinking a nice bottle of wine when you finally get around to eat those.

Similar incident happened to me a couple of years ago only difference its my right middle finger. If you are in Baton Rouge go to Specialty Surgical Center. They have some hand doctor specializes in surgery that helped sow my finger.

They are fantastic. Waguespack or Broussard or someone with a southern name rebuilt the bones in my hand after I broke it last year and Id recommend them to anyone.

Serious suggestion, one too late this time but it might save you or someone else from a repeat.

Every town of any size has a cooking school or even a community center that offers a 2-3 hour weekend class on basic knife skills. You learn the basics of how to use a knife effectively in a way that won't cause problems.

In the ten years since I took that class I have never even slightly nicked myself. Not once. One reason why is you learn how to position your hand so that it's basically impossible. If you have your thumb and pinky splayed all around instead of tucked out of the way you'll one day regret it like the OP.

I am sure it hurt like a mother when you did it but it can't hurt THAT bad the next day where you need opiods, if you keep ice on it and take an aspirin you shouldn't even feel it.

Then take more than the recommended dosage. If its 1 pill every 6 hours, take 2 pills. Double the dosage and it wont hurt or go with Tylenol.

I had my wisdom teeth pulled and they gave me LTs. 2 days later the LTs didnt do shite unless I took more than 2, so I threw them away and used Tylenol.
