In china they have a dish called drunken shrimp. They bring out live shrimp in a bowl and pour rice wine in the bowl to sedate the shrimp. You pull the head off and peel the shrimp, dip it in wasabi and eat it. It's still twitching as it goes down your throat.

Get off your high horse and visit one of these developing countries, and you'll appreciated and learn something about different cultures. Their government doesn't hand out welfare checks for these people, it's life and death, and they choose dog meat as a source of protein to survive. I don't think it's that big of a deal. I mean they sell used panties in vending machines there. Eating live animals is like 4/10 IRL weird for them.
