She literally just said that her direct action to combat crime was getting rid of abandoned cars and put up street lights. Jesus Christ.

Blight removal does help with crime. Guiliani gets a lot of credit for this and cleaning up NYC. But in addition to the blight removal, NYPD was stopping and frisking like crazy.
