Her earpiece, aka monitor, wasn't working. This is important when performing live because it allows the singer to hear their own voice. If she would have sang anyway, it would be out of key and all of these threads would be about how she can't sing live.
Eta: auld lang syne & emotion were lip synced, hence presence of vocals.
