There are logical arguments, and then there are dumb ones. This one was the latter.
Just stick with the tried and true "we are an inclusive organization that does not discriminate on anything but the character of each potential new member, and that will not change". Works like a charm.

Im talking from a moral perspective not a legal one. I think its insulting to admit someone for the sole reason they are a certain color. I'd be pissed if someone asked me to join something just to keep them from getting sued.

So do they have to get the plans approved through LSU first?
It will be hard to explain that they want a large room with no windows and only one dim light hanging from the center that can be locked only from the outside.

As in the new house? I believe it had to meet design standards through LSU then had to get approval from the BoS

I did not say that at all.
What I did say is that a fraternity discriminating would have an extremely weak freedom of association defense if ever challenged.
Unless someone could show that they would have been let in but weren't for the sole reason of being black then there is no one to challenge anything.

It's not about race, it's a like minded group of people.
I don't see the appeal of the frats, and never did. But there are black frats and white frats. Hell liberal frats and conservative frats...
If the black frat house isn't as nice as the KA house, then have their alumni donate more money. It's the chapter doing this, not LSU.
I lived in the Sigma house for a year and it was great times, but it was a shithole back then.
(though better than the shithole dorm they condemned while I was there - Johnston)
