LSP wants two weeks notice of Sterling DOJ findings

It seems like they are almost encouraging riots by putting out statements like this. Why announce that you expect advance notice?
As for them putting this off on Trump, I think that is a given.

State Police Superintendent Col. Mike Edmonson said Thursday he's asked for and expects two weeks advance notice before the U.S. Department of Justice publicly releases the results of its investigation into the July 2016 fatal shooting of Alton Sterling by a Baton Rouge policeman. But Edmonson and other law enforcement and political leaders say that so far they have not received alerts about when to expect a decision on whether to charge either of the two officers involved in the Sterling case with federal civil rights violations.
A question mark looms over Baton Rouge about whether the decision will come under President Barack Obama's Department of Justice — which began the investigation in July — or whether it will carry over to President-Elect Donald Trump's DOJ.
As for them putting this off on Trump, I think that is a given.

Shouldn't we expect peace and for all people to trust our justice system?
Black people should be offended that anyone thinks they might riot over the findings.

This was exactly what I was thinking.

Nah, he had his back to the cops with his hands up and pleaded with them not to shoot him, according to my sauces, particularly the BBQ. But the cops shot him anyway.

Typical whitey response. Haven't you heard? Dem police had tasers and pepper sprays and it was 2 of them. They ain't had to shoot that loving father and entrepreneur

Here is an oldie but a goodie.
Eagle scout, student body president, and regular blood donor Alton Sterling was on his way back from his volunteer shift at the soup kitchen when suddenly, Neo-Nazi KKK Grand-Wizard and climate-change-skeptics, Blane Salamoni, a 4-year veteran, and Howie Lake saw the glow of his halo.
They stepped out of their gas guzzling hummer and took chase.
Alton Sterling, weighed down by his backpack full of Nobel peace prizes and hand written letters to grandma, was soon overtaken by the Aryan Nation Members.
The only escape was across the street, but alas, there was no crosswalk. Faced with certain death or breaking the law, the straight-A student made his stand.
He attempts to reason with his attackers but the illiterate racist murderers only have ears for white supremacy speeches and Mein Kampf passages.
"Any last words?" Said the jack-booted thugs through a mouth-full of chewing tobacco.
Alton Sterling looks his executioner in the eyes, puts his hands up clearly indicating his surrender and says "World Peace".
"EFF BLACK PEOPLE" shouts the racist murdering cop as he unloads his fully automatic assault weapon.

I would think Obamer would be pushing for this to end on his term. DOJ sides with Sterling = win. DOJ sides with officers then riots occur = win.
It's a win win for him.

It will be interesting to see how she reacts to this especially if the finding come out before she has the chance to remove Carl Dabadie from his position. We all know her stance on the current Police administration, and how Kip handled the initial disturbance within the black community when this all happened.

I'd kinda like a heads up as well.

Must be nice to get the results of an investigation before everyone else to help already plan your spin. There's not much impartiality when it comes to cops and the justice system involving investigations.

Seems like he is getting his ducks in a row, hopefully this means calling in the national guard.

Broome will have no real bearing. Hwy190 is not a city road that is under the control of BRPD. Jurisdictional boundaries are more of a common courtesy rather than set in stone.

What kind of anti-riot precaution "spin" would they put on the DOJ's investigation results?

Redundant statement is redundant. Who proofreads this stuff.

That this has taken so long is the real scandal. Anyone that ever wants to give politicians and political appointees the benefit of the doubt because they are "public servants" only needs to look at situations like these.
Regardless of the outcome, the decision could have been made based on FACTS within days of the incident. The only thing dragging this out is political considerations.
This is the type of situation that taints my views on everything coming from the mouths of the government.

Facts don't matter to these people. It's all about their warped sense of "justice."
