Running is like travel ball. If your kid isn't running the marathon by 10, he might as well hang it up. I just bought little Kipchogelyn a pair of Vaporflys and a coaching session with Jerry Schumacher

Hate to break it to you but marathon runners aren’t flocking to Baton Rouge’s metropolis for a little race/fun weekend. Baton Rouge is probably the least active (runners, cyclist, etc) population I have ever seen.

Girl from my run group is there running with her mom. She’s been planning a race with her for a while now. Not sure how they decided on this one, but I was shocked this is the race they picked. Oh well, at least it will be cold and the course is flat.

There would be a whole lot more trash on the ground if it were not for the fine folks at Keep Tiger Town Beautiful.

The Baton Rouge Department of Public Works has always been worthless when it comes to cleaning up litter.

Thank God for Jennifer Richardson and her folks at Keep Tiger Town Beautiful.

Litter in BR has always been a problem, largely because there is a large demographic of the population that routinely throws shite on the ground and doesn't give a damn. It's gotten much worse since Broome took over as mayor though.
