Per LDH Website

LDH provides one daily update each day at 12PM CT.

I do not know how to interpret today's numbers. The state did not release numbers yesterday. Today, they stated they identified 1,666 cases that were either duplications or from out-of-state residents. These cases have been removed from the count.

There have been 1,547 new cases in the last two days.

Interpret this mess as you wish.

Lol

I'm not saying the data should he perfect because its new and its hard.

However, you can't be talking about a second spike and shutting shite back down and in the same breath say you have duplicate cases and no idea if the data is correct. What a bunch of tards

Cases down 119 and hospitalizations down as well. AS WELL AS vents. I mean come on man -- learn to count and classify!

QUESTION: The icu bed availability for a region -- that is ALL Beds correct? And "in use" is ALL BEDS meaning covid/surgery/whatever, correct?? Just want to make sure I'm understanding right.

“Cases are rising across Louisiana, especially but not solely in the Acadiana, Central and Southwest regions of the state. We are seeing increases in hospitalizations too,” said Dr. Alex Billioux, assistant secretary of the Office of Public Health. “These increases and decreases do not just happen. They are a direct result of our everyday actions. We did the hard work in flattening the curve early on. We stayed home, wore masks and stayed six feet apart. Thank you to everyone who continues to do so – it is the only way we will get through this.”

How does he figure the numbers are an increase in hospitalizations?

579 hospitalized on 6/17

561 hospitalized on 6/19

I know that I use "old math" but that's a decrease of 18.

Sorry Dr. Billioux a positive test does not mean death. Look at your own numbers. In fact 93% of people who positive are doing fantastic right now. With little or no medical attention.

The math, you see, is very complex. It requires the ability to add and subtract.

Just another anecdotal story: My daughter was contacted from her employer yesterday that a coworker was positive. College age person. This girl had been in contact with a positive person so she got tested but had zero symptoms. Test came back positive so she notified her employer. Her parents and her boyfriend all were negative as well AS was everyone from the office.
