You should also post this in the money talk board.

That's for sure. I've been having to borrow my mom's car or drive my wife to work 40 minutes away to go on interviews so I can appreciate the gas prices right now.

Make a Texags account and post this on the jobs board. Lots of Houston oil and gas guys on there. Worth a shot

Yeah, I'm saving closer to 200 between the wife and I, but I know it's only temporary

Well...should have thought about BUILDING your first home....no offense. Hope you find your job though.

it's a very deflating feeling going from provider to having to rely on my wife.

Stop living in stereotypes. Be thankful your wife is providing at all. If you want to be a "real man", then you shouldn't be phased by such a ridiculous thought. Things happen, and just work hard and it'll happen.

Telecommunications/Insurance/Oil & Gas...all outside sales/marketing/business development roles.

I don't have any preconceived notions about my wife providing; I'm more making the statement that we're now having to rely solely on her salary when hers was more of disposable income when I had a job.

Have you searched LinkedIn? If not make sure you have a solid profile on there.

Thanks for the advice; I've been a part of their premium service on there the past few months and have a solid profile, in my opinion. I pretty much apply to all relative jobs on there, as well.

When I was in your shoes, I found employment in a different field. Swallow your pride and get money rolling in to help your family, especially if you have kids.

I would be interested in talking with you. I own a staffing agency for commercial construction and industrial shutdown/turn around work. I am looking for business development for the gulf coast from corpus to mobile.
